From Norgeskolen Norwegian Camp in Norway.

Over the summer I spent a month in Norway, two weeks of which were with my family and two weeks of which were spent at Norgeskolen, a summer camp for kids (ages 9-18) from all over the world targeted towards learning Norwegian and the culture of Norway.

I really enjoyed my time at camp both from the friends I made and the experiences we had. We went on two very long hikes (including to Gaustatoppen, the tallest mountain peak in Telemark) and one amazing camping trip. There was a lot of kayaking and swimming in the freezing mountain lakes of Norway along with less intense activities such as beach volleyball in the evening and cards in our dorms at night. All of the counselors were fantastic and my Norwegian skills greatly increased after my time there. I am planning on going back next year as my experience this time was so amazing.
